About Us
BEST SHOT Shooting Sport Academy, an Air Rifle and Pistol Shooting training Centre with an initiative of International Pistol Shooter Manjunath Patagar, is a state-of-the-art shooting facility and training center in the capital city of Karnataka – Bangalore.
Shooting is an Olympic event and requires a multi-pronged approach to groom shooting athletes to “Podium Finish”. To cater to this need and to promote shooting sport, “BEST SHOT” provides world class infrastructure including a 10 meter air conditioned indoor shooting range with electronic target system, best and imported shooting air weapons, professional mentoring, the right mix of physical training and mental strength, diet and everything that goes in making an athlete a champion!
Mentor and Chief Coach
Mr. Manjunath Patagar is one of most successful coach in India with an experience of 25+ years in shooting sport. He has been an International Shooter and represented India. A member of the Indian shooting team for ten years, an All India Police Shooting Champion and trained under foreign coaches, he has traversed a long journey of sixteen years as a shooting athlete before he started professional coaching in 2008. He has been instrumental in developing most of the top shooters in Karnataka. His students have won laurels and represented country at international level and/or are at various stages to Indian Team selection trials.
He founded ”The Best Shot Shooting Academy” in heart of Bangalore with a quest to give back more to shooting community for which he always felt obliged. He personally looks after the functioning and day to day activities of the range.
Our Mission
Shooting is a well known and widely enjoyed Olympic Sport with athletes from over 100 countries taking part in the shooting events at each Olympic Games. It has grown in India as We have done consistently well is past few years at world stage in this sport. There was a time when many view guns and rifles as dangerous, however, with time, it has been realized that it is not only a safe sport but helps in overall development of an individual.
Best Shot Shooting Academy aims to make Bangalore a Power House in Indian Shooting by Identifying grass root talents and develop them for National and International Competitions. We impart life skills like concentration, discipline, team-work and integrity in kids through right platform and conducive atmosphere. We promote culture of health and fitness through this sport.
Our Team
Raksha M Patagar
Raksha M Patagar is a National Pistol Shooter and certified (National Institute of Sports, Patiala) Coach. She started her shooting career in year 2016 and have won multiple medals in State Level Zonal Championships. Currently, she is attending Indian Team Selection Trials & also Physical and Yoga Trainer at the range. She actively involves in training Air Pistol Shooters at the Best Shot Shooting Academy.
Suma M Patagar
Suma M Patagar is an Engineer by trade and got into Air Rifle Shooting after pursuing Masters In Computer Science. She won Bronze Medal in Zonal Shooting Competition in Air Rifle & also a National Renowned Rifle Shooter. She looks after technical infrastructure at The Best Shot Shooting Academy and actively involves in training Air Rifle Shooters at the Best Shot Shooting Academy.
